Kate’s career brought her to the Capital Region during the Summer of 2005, and she has proudly called New York her home ever since. That same year she met James (aka Jimmy),who would become her husband in October of 2009. They now live in the town of Rexford with their fur baby, a sweet little Yorkie named Martini.
Education s. Career
Kate has never been one to limit her ambitions or interests, and is affectionately known to her family & friends as the “goal getter.” Most of her early adulthood was dedicated towards becoming a Radiologic Technologist (RT), Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD, and finally achieving her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA). No matter which career hat she’s wearing on a particular day, her primary focus is always to improve the lives of her patients,clients, and those around her.
Platform & Goals
Her passion for nutrition started from a young age,and has been the fuel behind her platform of childhood health, wellness, and nutrition. Kate firmly believes that building a foundation of healthy habits in children will lead to a much brighter future. During her reign as Mrs. New York, Kate will work closely with National organizations including Action for Healthy Kids, No Kid Hungry, and The World Health Organization. She has been an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for nearly eight years, and will continue using her professional background to work closely with countless children and families across the state. Through raising awareness, educating others, and advocating for more accessible nutrition programs,she strives to change the direction of childhood health issues facing our country. Her ultimate goal is to shape a healthier and more positive future for everyone!
Fun Facts
Most people are surprised to learn that Kate played Division 1 Ice Hockey in college!In 2018, Kate founded her own charity pet bed business called ‘Moose’s America’, in memory of her sweet Yorkie, Moose, proudly raising funds for animals in need across America. Both Kate & her husband share a huge place in their hearts for animals, lending a helping hand to local Humane Society’s and animal shelters as often as possible. Kate will compete for the prestigious title of Mrs. America on August 24th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
