Mrs. New York America 2018, Patti Gomez-Michalkow

A New York City native, Patti Gomez-Michalkow is a fast-paced individual with a penchant for problem-solving and a passion for great pizza. For a decade, she has built brand equity and crafted marketing solutions for Fortune 500 companies and emerging start-ups. She is the senior marketing manager at a financial firm, an Army Veteran and Mrs. New York 2018. She will be compete for the title of Mrs. America in August in Las Vegas.

Career

Patti’s communications career has covered a broad spectrum: she has worked in the entertainment, hospitality and finance sectors—all in public-facing roles. She has also worked in a nonprofit environment and in an agency setting, and represented clients across a wide array of industries from fashion to biotech. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and is currently pursuing a master’s degree.

Mrs. New York 2018

Patti is currently serving as Mrs. New York 2018. On August 25th, she will compete for the title of Mrs. America. The pageant serves to celebrate the married women of New York who are passionate about giving back to their respective communities. Patti is an Official Proud Supporter of Homes for Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post – 9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. She will champion and fundraiser for the organization throughout her campaign. She will also continue to champion and volunteer at Clear Path For Veterans, an all-inclusive community-based resource center that connects service members and their families to the resources they need.

Military

Patti is a veteran of the United States Army, where she proudly served in the New York Army National Guard as a soldier of the 42nd Infantry Division, located in Glenville, New York. She attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and attended Advanced Individual
Training at the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence in Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
